BSA B25SS RED/BLACK

Here is my BSA 250SS 1971 complete with a new MOT on 30 Jan 15.

There is a large pile of receipts with the bike for a total engine/gearbox rebuild in the early 90s and it has done very few miles since (1000 miles max). The cycle parts appear in very good condition including the rims although there is a patch of light corrosion on the front wheel 2”x1” and the chrome is thin in places but still shiny. The red paintwork is very good with some small blemishes on top of the front mudguard. Saddle is very good. I am not sure if the exhaust is correct for the bike as I recall they came with a horrible lozenge type so this one is a definite improvement.

All lights work including the indicators. Boyer Branson electronic ignition and newish carb ensure good starting although it does backfire on occasion when kick starting it.

I have fitted a new battery and speedo and cable as the original was seized at approx. 24000 miles there are 4 previous MOTs which substantiate the mileage.

Overall a great tax exempt bike ready to use or with a small amount of work at your leisure would make a great show bike with interesting number plate.

Selling as I originally bought it to go on the back of our camper van but never used it for that purpose. prior to my ownership it was stored for some years. I have ridden it locally so know it is reliable everything works as it should. great compression good starter and goes well.
