Description

CONDITION- This is a very sweet bike. It runs like new and has a new S&S carb. It has new tires. an Avon speedmaster 21" up front on a new rim and a chinese tire on the back with a new powder-coated rim. Many parts are newly chromed. including most all the wheel and brake parts. Other new items include the grips. handlebars. sissy bar. (but has been modified to fit fender). clutch basket cover(n. o. s. ). new polished stainless steel spokes front and back. new cables. and new brakes. It has new custom paint all over and is blocked and wet sanded and buffed to a high degree of quality. The lettering and pinstriping was done by Pat Erm. a master of design and art. Some of the patina was left in on purpose (not in the bodywork or paint) to maintain the authenticity of the bike. There are a few scratches and such here and there. but not much. I recently had this bike put together by a very knowledgeable mechanic who did a great job. I haven't rode it more than 50 miles since it was done. The right side case is a 1967 O. E. M Harley case. The left side case is an aftermarket CURTIS case. I was told this was a drag racing part built in Hawaii in the 60's. It appears to be thicker than the original case. The title is an Oregon Assembled title in my name. The numbers on the title match the numbers on the case.   I will be happy to answer any questions. FEATURES- This bike has an original H-D wishbone frame. Alien type tank is welded and molded completely to frame. Fully chromed O. E. M springer forks have been stretched back in the 60's. The rear fender is an old Indian fender that has had a signal light from an old headlight converted to taillight with a clear glass lens and a red bulb. The seat is an old Bates-type seat (may be a bates. I don't know). The kicker pedal is n. o. s. The motor has never been apart since I've owned it since it always ran great. HISTORY- The guy I bought it from told me this bike was built in the 60's by a young man who was killed in Viet Nam. It sat in his mothers basement for over 40 years. I don't know if this is true. just what I was told. I made a few mods but tried to keep the spirit of the bike and it is largely unchanged. It has been disassembled in my garage for several years. I have many. many hours in molding the frame and tank to perfection. SHIPPING- I prefer for you to pick up this bike in person but I will help ship it if you make all arrangements for crating. shipping. etc. Once it leaves my hands I assume no responsibility for damage. I would like full payment within 3 days. Don't bid if you don't have the money in the bank.
