2003 PIAGGIO X9 250 SL (HONDA ENGINE)

Hello. and welcome to my listing for a Piaggio X9 250 SL Scooter.

As you can see from the pictures. the scooter is in absolutely fantastic condition. having been owned by three mature gentleman (including myself) since new. I purchased the bike from a man who has owned this scooter for over six years and he looked after it extremely well. changing the engine oil every 3000 miles without fail. and gear oil every 6000 miles.  The all important drive belt was replaced at 18. 00 miles and this included a new set of rollers so that wont need to be changed again for the foreseeable. The bike starts and runs perfectly. handles superbly. brakes super sharp and pulls up in a straight line. It has relatively new Pirelli tyres. as recommended. The exhaust system has also recently been replaced a Giannelli silencer.

The bike has been garaged since new. therefore the bodywork and all the plastics are in brilliant condition. not faded or damaged.

Additions to the standard stock bike include a set of Oxford Hot Grips (brilliant for this time of year!) and a Givi rack and Givi Top Box (colour-matched. but needs repainting) not fitted. but included in sale.

There is also a massive under seat storage compartment which two crash helmets. gloves. etc. fit easily. Charger point for phone. and courtesy light. Additional power -output up front which was used for heated gloves. could also be used to power Sat Nav. etc.

The bike also has two way communication system for pillion passenger with supplied headphones.

The bike has a three position adjustable front screen for wind and rain protection

Being the Honda engine. the bike is happy at 70mph on the motorway. and will easily return 70 mpg. The bike is supplied with service book. manual. a host of servicing paperwork and every MOT certificate from new. V5 supplied. Two keys. The bike has been Datatool security stamped. which helps with reducing cost of insurance premium. Complete tool kit. and waterproof seat cover.

To summarise. you have been looking at a lovingly well cared for. all round mechanically sound bike in exceptional condition. and will serve the next owner very well. Reason for sale. I have just upgraded to a Piaggio X10.
