1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 MKII, No Reserve Muscle Bike!!KZ-1000 MKll A4 Mark 2 Z1R Z1

If you are looking for a titled Mark 2 for restoration or just a bike like you used to have back in the day look no further. There is no reserve so bid freely knowing this bike can be yours. 1/80 build date the frame number is KZTOOA-524822 and the engine # is KZTOOAEO94822 (original engine). This bike has been stored in an unheated garage for the last 20+ years so it needs to be gone through and properly woken up before you expect to do any riding. The previous owner was attempting some wiring repairs (see pics) so that needs to be addressed as well because I can't get power anywhere when I hook up an external power source. The engine turns over and it shifts fine statically and the gear changes feel solid. Miles say 27900 and that is original mileage; all the wear items like peg rubbers and shift rubber etc. support that mileage. A few detractions I need to mention are the broken fins on the right side cylinder head and cylinder and the KZ1000A gastank. The handlebars are straight and I don't see any rashed levers bar ends or pegs although an engine cover has scratches. These aren’t noticeable but if you search them out you’ll see them in the photos. The exhaust and muffler is not original but it is an original Sankei 2031 KZ1000 Z1R system so sell that to buy a set of original A4 pipes if you don't like the sportier Z1-R system. A little chrome polish and buffing will bring out some shine especially in the battery acid spill area. All considered this is a very solid restoration project.
