1966 Honda CB160/Van Tech Road Racer

Founded in 1960 by a father and son team of Bill VanTichelt Jr. and Sr., an Tech Engineering was originally established with the intent to create a better, aster, o kart for racing. On a whim, hey designed and built a small dirt bike for one of their kart racing customers. In 1963 the Blendzall company commissioned Van Tech to produce a 100cc race bike for one of their riders. The bike they created swept the class that year solidifying the VanTichelt’s name as one of the best in the biz.

Motoexotica is pleased to present this extremely rare 1966 Honda CB160 road racing motorcycle which features a 161cc four stroke twin cylinder engine and a Van Tech racing frame. Bike is also equipped with 4 speed transmission, 4 mm carburetors, RD magneto ignition, eriani road race forks, JB shocks, R 93 RR tank and seat, ir actuated shifter, ull safety wiring, nd more.

As part of a collection, his bike has been a static display piece for several years and has not been started or run recently. Overall condition is excellent with some patina on original parts but no broken or damaged pieces and parts. This bike is a fantastic piece of motorcycle racing history and is sure to start conversations wherever it sits.
