2006 APRILIA SXV 4.5 RED/BLACK

Hi. this is a listing for my 2006 Aprilia 450cc SXV with approx 2000 miles and 12 months MOTI am reluctant to sell this awesome bike. but as I have been looking to get something for touring I'm gonna need the space and can only really justify having one bike. Everything on this motorcycle is sound and in good condition. I don't make full use of it as I cycle to work. but I can assure you whenever I do go out on it I usually end up going the long way.  It is an absolutely brilliant bike and I am definitely going to miss it hopefully I will have another one one day. TechnicalA first important thing to note about this particular SXV is that is HAS had the black sealant modification to the engine crankcase.  This was done about 1000 miles ago now and so far the coolant and motor oil have run clear and good. I have fitted a slightly larger and lightly modified starter motor from an R6. importantly the SXV engine itself is completely unchanged.  I was not satisfied with the original starter so I thought I'd try this mod and I can say it makes a big difference to the speed of the cranking which is very useful.  If you ever need a new R6 starter all important parts will just bolt right on. as will the original starter which is new and included in the sale of the bike.  I ran out room to add more photos on eBay but I can send some pictures of this mod if anyone is interested. The oil has been changed religiously.  I may actually have some 10w60 to include with it.  Lawn mower aint getting that stuff.  Current coolant is Xstream G48 with de-ionised water like the manual says. I have also replaced the original plastic oil filter cover with an aluminium one which I believe was specified in one of the maintenance bulletins released by Aprilia. I put it through an MOT just before listing it so you have almost 12 months full MOT. but the TAX has run out. you can get a disc for £58/year for this bike. Currently tuned to Alice racing map and running standard exhaust. FairingsThe only problem with the bike is the rear fairings.  As you can see in the photo there is some whiteness from being outside. this has only appear in the last few months.  Replacements are available but I'm not too fussed about it.  There is also a slight scratch where the bike has been lent over on the front left fairing. Oh yes and the chain may also benefit from being replaced as I tightened it not too long ago but it still rattles more than I like.  That is total of all the problems with it.
