For sale. my Aprilia Tuono Racing. I have owned the bike since Feb 2010. and put about 6500 miles on it in that time. making approx 12. 00 total (the bike is away for its yearly service as I write this so can't be exact - buts its close). This is arguably the best model year for the V2 Tuono. MCN think so anyway. better motor than the later V2's. they say. MCN calls Tuono's nutter bikes. I disagree. Its just a sports bike with high bars. Very smooth (for a twin). precise. easy to ride - doesn't have that low down kick like a speed triple. for example. but if you let the revs get above 5. 00. it absolutely flies. You can tell you are riding something that is pure class from the minute you get on it. It hasn't spent much of its life at high RPM. because I have had a clean licence for the last 14 years and intend to keep it that way. Its done a couple of laps round the Nurbergring but apart from that hasn't been on track while I've owned it. The Racing model was a forerunner to the factory models which appeared after this. but is a higher spec mainly due to the carbon fibre bodywork which is standard. When new it came with a race ECU. race exhaust. carbon racing underbelly. and carbon headlight fairing. The race ECU is fitted. but I have the standard exhaust due to a small scratch on the race exhaust. and the larger carbon underbelly and race fairing have never been fitted and are as new. Its been very much loved and looked after (no expense spared like every bike I've ever owned. but its not needed much). This bike has the following:Datatag. which is well hiddenDatatool System 3 alarmVentureshield protection film - the full kit. not just tank protection. Oberon clutch slave cylinder. which lightens the clutch feel. Oberon brake and clutch master cylinder covers. Passenger seat included as well as the carbon seat cowl (pictured). Its had its suspension recently set up at TW Suspension Tech in Preston. Both keys present. It may well be a future classic. who knows?Service History:May 2003 - Brand New14/11/04 - 1148 miles - Service10/08/05 - 2393 miles - Service25/02/10 - 6170 miles - ServiceCame into my care - I got the coolant. brake and clutch fluids and valve clearances done fairly early on in addition to the above service16/08/11 - 8228 miles - big Service. Valves etc14/07/12 - Service - dunno miles. will have receipt somewhere. 31/10/13 - 11028 miles - ServiceThis year - throttle body balanceSeptember. chain and sprockets. new rear tyre (Pirelli Angels fitted - bike handles like a dream with these on)TW Suspension have also set the bike up properly recently as I have lost some weight while I have owned it - now 16 stone. It will only cost you £30 for a setup job if you are massively different to my weight. Again I recommend this. if you can be bothered. I would think the bike is pretty good as it is for any weight. NOW - 12500 miles - Service (currently getting done right now). DMC Moto have done the major services (when I've wanted something more than an oil change and a quick check over). Andy there is a wizard with Aprilias and Ducati's - I highly recommend him. Please understand. any inspection welcome but no test rides without paying cash or bank transfer in full. Another bike forces sale. so I'm open to offers but don't want to take silly ones - its too good a bike for that. I advertised it last year here on eBay and decided not to sell in the end. my wife showed some interest in it. but she is a little too short for it to be comfortable - she is only 5 feet 3. Forgot to mention. the bike also has a 14Ah battery and a 150amp Aprilia starter solenoid. No slow starting on this RSV!I've tried to be as clear as I can. Any questions please ask. If I think of anything else I will add to the listing. P. S. I can borrow a van from my friendly motorcycle dealer and deliver for the price of the diesel if required. This bike comes with a new (never used) carbon fibre undertray. a race front fairing if you want to remove the lights and make it a track bike. and an Aprilia race can with a slight scratch in it (looks like a mark from putting the bike in a van). Also a passenger seat as well as the carbon fibre seat cowl. I know its the wrong time of year to sell. if it doesn't sell this time I'm considering taking it back to Fastline Superbikes where I bought it from for them to sell. They recently sold a similar bike. a year younger but with 15. 00 miles on it for £5500. More info I've thought of while answering a question for somebody: I might have the race exhaust hanger I'm not sure. it will be there with the rest of the bits if I have it. I do have a gear change linkage that is CNC and looks like its probably a reverse change linkage (Never fitted). I don't have the grille (that goes over the back light). It has the race ECU fitted so the standard ECU is in the box. Even though its a race ECU the bike does something approaching 50mpg when I ride it. unlike the Firestorm I had years ago that managed about 25mpg. The scratch on the race can is very minor. def not caused by the bike being on its side. but I don't like any scratches on my bike so I've never fitted it. It won't polish out without changing the surface texture of the can though - it would make the can totally shiny if you polished it and its not as standard. so I've just left it in the box. although unlike the other bits the can has been used before. The bike had some very minor marks in the laquer on the seat unit when I bought it. again I think by being in a van. I've touched up the laquer and you would be hard pressed to see where I've done it unless you already knew - seriously it would take you a long time to spot this if you managed to spot it at all. You would have to know its was there for sure. The rad covers are from Mike's Grilles. I've also kept the metal bits on the bike covered in ACF-50 to stop corrosion and only perhaps once or twice rode it in winter and if I did washed it as soon as I got home. so it hasn't got any rust or corrosion to speak of (I think its the same as when I bought it - it had been out in the wet for sure. but I've looked after it as I said). Hope this all helps. People who know me know that I'll never be accused of not looking after a bike I own.
