(I've owned several. so I know. ) "Rotax" (the maker of Aprilia engines) is Austrian for "bomb-proof. " Seriously reliable. Ride it polite and it's polite. Ride it angry and it's fast and fun. Versatile bike. All appropriate mods performed: alternator-to-voltage regulator plugs eliminated and hard-wired (charges at 13. 6-14. 4 volts. ) Clutch oil jet replaced with 2006 model (easier to find neutral at a stop. ) air intake "flapper" removed. California-spec charcoal canister and vacuum lines removed. Fresh full-synthetic Castrol 10w60 4T racing oil and filter done 10/30/2014. Air filter cleaned and re-oiled. Fresh 50/50 coolant. (cooling fans rarely come on because it doesn't usually hit 180 degrees. ) Fresh chain wax. Fresh clutch and brake fluid. I am the second owner. This is one of three Italian sportbikes I own. This one is the one I reluctantly choose to part with. I have agonized over the details of this bike ("it's a love affair -- mainly Jesus and my Bike. ")
