Benelli Wards Riverside 175

This interesting bike is a Benelli 175 two-stroke street version, old via Montgomery Wards Department stores with the name 'Wards Riverside', odel 14021A. This is essentially the same bike as the 125cc Benelli Cobrabut with the factory 175cc engine. Not many of the 175 versions were available, aking it pretty rare among this Brand.
It has been very nicely repainted in single-stage Red, hile retaining the original factory white tank sides and white toolbox sides. The pinstripes around the white panels are gold leaf (hand painted, ot pinstripe tape). Its a very nice bike that retains patina of a 1965 model. Looks like an MV Agusta of the era at a much more affordable price!
Everything works and it runs great. This came from NY to Ohio years ago, can provide a Bill of Sale (by default, had to check a form of title, o went with 'Rebuilt', ut a title is not included).Includes both original keys (headlight and factory fork lock). For the very observant, removed the gas lines when I drained and cleaned the tank prior to storage. Add gas and go!As these were sold here in the US, here are many parts available, aking this a very practical Italian collectible.
As the paint has a high shine, ny 'spots' are reflections.
