1968 Benelli Montgomery Wards Riverside 250

Here is a very fine and original 1968 Benelli / Montgomery Wards Riverside 250. This bike is 99% original down to the Pirelli tires which are still soft and have no dry rot whatsoever. It has 1425 original miles but that may go up as I ride this bike occasionally. The paint on this bike is still very fine, eep, nd shiny. All the original decals are intact. The patina and nicks/scratches on this bike are very light. The only paint issues are the spots from battery acid near the battery tray (pictured). The only parts that are not original are the EMGO M-Bars and levers/perches. With the bars is a second flipped NOS handlebar clamp used as a riser to allow the bars to lay flat. The original handlebars will be included if desired. This bike starts and runs very well. All the lights work however the fuse that powers the headlight bulb needs to be replaced. The sealed beam is new and it is verified to be working. Other new/NOS parts include the tailight lens, icense plate light cover, oot pegs, nd kick start lever. The only issues with the bike are that the horn was removed at some point. The wires are there and the horn is included, lthough I cannot verify that it works. Also the front rim has two dents (pictured). Being tube tires these dents do not affect the tires holding air, nd they also do not affect the smoothness of the ride until it reaches speeds of over 60mph. Being aluminum rims they should easily be able to be repaired by an experienced wheel/rim shop. I personally have not fixed this because it has no affect on the ride with the slow short trips that I use this bike for. Bikes in this condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find, lso rare is one being so nice and so original down to the tires. I have owned many of these Montgomery Wards Benelli's over the years and this is the nicest and best running 250 I've come across. Buyer responsible for shipping. The fuses or fuse bulbs required for the headlight to function are very difficult to source, owever I was able to locate a set. So the headlight is now properly functional.
