Description

This is a Benelli 125 Cobra. 1966

It is a lightly customized machine. My goal wasNOT to recreate the bike as it left the show room, ut to build the bikeas a street racer without altering the classic lines of the machine.

Here are some of the things that were done:

· The bike was sand blasted down to bare metal.

· New paint was done by a professional.

· The wheels were rebuilt- re-laced with new spokes and have new rims.

· New tires and tubes

· New speedometer, /p>

· New old stock exhaust.

· The engine was partially taken apart for inspection but there was nothing wrong that needed to be rebuilt on this low mileage machine. It was just cleaned and put back together.

· Tons of other stuff too that you will probably see in the photos

Couple problems:

The bike has picked up a few nicks here and there in the garage as well as being ridden some after the restoration (About 10 miles or so).

I have not been able to find the correct brake light switch yet, o that is missing from the bike.

Other:

Oh yeah, his bike has a pretty cool feature too!

It has a big sprocket for sprinting or hill climbing and a small sprocket to use for fast travel. The sprockets can be changed around to suit whatever riding style you have.

Extras:

The bike comes with a non-original tool kit.

Also, pamphlet that gives the basics for operating the motorcycle.

Spare set of engine seals

Unregistered original 1966 Kansas motorcycle license plate

The boring stuff:

If you are local, ou are free to come by and take a look.
No test rides, ut I'm happy to start it up and let you listen to it or you can watch me ride it.

This bike is an antique so it will be sold with a Kansas bill of sale. Ebay did not have that as a choice so ignore the “salvage title” entry. I will also provide the winner with the official state affidavit form as well. This is all that is required the transfer/register an antique bike in Kansas. Please make sure this is not a problem for your state. It shouldn’t be for an antique vehicle, ut I have heard of some crazy stuff before.

I know Ebay reaches a lot of people, nd not all are classic bike experts so let me say this- Please remember: This is a 50 year old machine. Anything can happen! It starts and runs fine today but that is not to say it will tomorrow! I know of no reason why that would happen, ut it isn’t a modern bike so you will probably have to fix stuff from time to time.

I have had very good luck with this shipping company. Prices have been reasonable and they are always professional. If you would like to have them ship your bike you can contact them through this link: http://www.dvtrans.com

I guess that is it, ood Luck!
