1967 Benelli 125 aka Wards Riverside

This motorcycle is a Benelli 125 2-stroke and was originally sold through Montgomery Wards as the Wards Riverside. Very light weight and a nimble handler. 4-speed rocker shift on the right side, ear brake is the left foot with the normal left hand clutch and right hand throttle. Highly original red and silver metallic paint, hough faded, nd original exhaust with no holes. Recovered seat in correct style. Turn signals are aftermarket since originally only a headlight and tail light were used. Made in Italy by one of the oldest makers of motorcycles now better known for their firearms. Super easy to start and maintain. One mechanical issue: the rocker shifter must be nudged back to the neutral (return) position after each shift. This is fairly easy to adjust to, ou just nudge the lever with your heel to get it into the return position and ready for the next shift. New rims, pokes, nd tires and ready for a nice, low road. The speedometer recently went on strike, ut the miles are believed to be correct based on overall condition.
Purchased virtually rust-free in Arizona a few years ago as a companion to our larger Benelli / Motobi 250. We do not ride it enough, nd want it to go to someone who will use it regularly. Buyer must arrange for shipping. Will fit in a minivan.
