Bimota SB2 Ducati Laverda Benelli

 This Bimota needs no history lesson as you should know all about this model if you have read this far.

The engine was completely re-built by a factory trained Suzuki mechanic who recently retired. The engine had a broken valve spring set so all were replaced as were the rings. cam chain and anything else that needed replacement. The gearbox. pistons and clutch were in very good condition. This combined with carbon deposits indicated an easy life. The capacity was found to be 850cc. The pistons are Yoshimura. the camshafts are more profiled than GS 750 so are also probably Yoshimura. The ports may have been lightly cleaned previously. The engine starts easily idles evenly with no emission problems and revs smoothly. It will need running in.

The brakes work very well but the front callipers are a later type. New tyres. nbsp; chain and sprockets. There is no battery supplied.

The bike has electronic ignition fitted. An oil cooler and braided lines to suit are available but not fitted.   At that time the cases were stripped. nbsp; meticulously cleaned and painted. There is no evidence of accident damage. The magnesium wheels are in very good condition and everything has been repainted. A non standard tinted screen is fitted.

The bike has Dutch registration papers and I have import papers from NZ where the bike was stored in a museum. The seat was also restored accurately there.
