Description

This Bimota Tesi is extremely rare. This 1/D ES model represents a very small number manufactured in 1990/1991 by Bimota as a licensed road motorcycle.
The engine is a Ducati 900 Monster, ir cooled version that remains to have carburetors acquired and installed. It weighs 180 Kilo dry and the all-in-one tank/rear fender and seat is a design that also incorporates the battery box at a low and central point of the motorcycle for added stability and handling. Front and rear suspension is original with new bearings and seals as well as the original entrusted ?hlins shocks. Note, here were only 164 of these bikes ever produced, hich were sold for over $36,500. What you see in the photos are of the original motorcycle, ith the exception of the Ducati engine, ne piece fender/seat and tank, andlebars and headlights.
The engine was running when installed in the motorcycle. The Conti Mufflers are like-new with no holes or rust. The tires are new. Bearings and seals are new. This is a wonderful opportunity to finish and be probably the only one in your state to ride or show this unusual piece of Italian art, orkmanship and mastery of design and handling…nothing beats an Italian bike for sexy styling and handling. I have owned this Bimota for over 18 years and with moving the title is now lost, ut I will provide a Bill of Sale to the winning bidder. I do not know the mileage, ut I believe it is quite low. The frame is straight, ight and highly polished. I will be able to help load the motorcycle, ut you will have to arrange your own pickup and transport.
I retain the right to end the auction early since it is offered locally. All my best on your bidding to own this most unusual motorcycle. Bid often and bid to win!!!
History:
As in most motorcycles, he front telescopic forks combines the function of steering and suspension. However, imota’s chief engineer Difazio was to separate the turning fully from the suspension. In this way, ndesirable interactions between the two disappeared. The suspension action does not change during braking as it does with a traditional fork. That allows you to change the geometry of the bike (wheelbase, aster), ut did not influence the dynamic behavior. This was not the first time this technique is used, ut until now had never left outside the circuits of competitions.
