This beautiful machine is part of a wonderful collection of Italian Superbikes. These bikes are owned by a friend who is 70 years young, nd he has reluctantly decided to sell off some of them. He's not computer savvy, o he asked if I would list the bikes for him as a favor, nd we decided to list them individually rather than listing all the bikes at one time.
This Bimota was recently serviced and a new battery installed. It starts immediately and runs strong, ith a very deep & throaty exhaust note. The bike looks nice overall, ut there is some evidence of very minor cosmetic cracks, cratches and flaws on the fairing, eat base, wing arm and one mirror base (As shown in photos) This indicates that this bike probably saw some track duty early in its life. These flaws do not affect functionality at all, ut need to be disclosed. Since this bike has been on static display for some time, he tires should be replaced for safety if it will be ridden regularly.

The Bimota SB8R is based around theSuzuki TL1000Rsports bike. However numerous changes have been made which result in a lighter, ore agile and overall better performing machine.
The Bimota SB8R is a exotic bike with a mixture of aluminum andcarbon fiberbeing used for the frame. This frame is not only lighter than the Suzuki's it is also stiffer.
The front of the Bimota SB8R is complemented by Paioli upside down forks and a Paioli rear monoshock. The suspension system is fully adjustable for preload, ebound and compression damping.
The engine of the Bimota SB8R is also borrowed from the TL1000R, owever the original Suzuki fuel injection is replaced by Bimotas own 59mm throttle bodies fed by carbon fibre air intakes originating from the front fairing of the SB8R. Bimota also added their own exhaust system to the bike.
The highlight of the Bimota SB8R's short lifespan was in 2000, hen at the Australian World Superbike race Anthony Gobert rode the racing version of the bike, heSB8K, o a win. Beating the top factory teams by over 30 seconds. A huge achievement for a team who only received the bike five weeks before.
