For Sale :   CUSTOM MADE GENUINE CARBON FIBER FAIRING PANELS MADE TO REPLACE THE OEM PLASTIC PANELS ON THE BIMOTA SB8R / SB8RS ModelsPlease read this entire listing :These were made for me by a company that makes custom Carbon Fiber Parts for Air Planes . Helicopters . and Race Cars I gave them a full set of Brand New BIMOTA OEM SB8R / SB8RS Plastic Fairing Panels to be used to make custom made molds .  From the custom made molds ( made from BIMOTA OEM Parts ) these genuine Carbon Fiber Fairing Panels were hand made one at a time.  They are essentially exact ( or nearly so ) copies of the original BIMOTA OEM parts.  As most owners know. the BIMOTA SB8R and SB8RS models use both Carbon Fiber and Plastic Parts to create their body work and fairing.  These OEM plastic parts are prone to cracking. and deforming from heat. vibration. over tightening . and flex from use . Also the plastic fairing panels are very fragile and break / crack easily ( they are thin and brittle plastic pieces ) I had 3 BIMOTA SB8RS bikes and my only complaint was the use of plastics for 6 of the fairing panels. I had problems with them deforming from engine and exhaust heat. and cracking from both vibration and flex.  So I decided to get custom made Carbon Fiber Fairing Panels made for my bikes. And thats just what happened.  I found a company that makes custom carbon fiber and other composite parts for air planes . helicopters . space craft . and race cars.  They made custom molds from brand new BIMOTA OEM fairings that I gave to them ( these OEM plastic panels actually were sacrificed to create the molds / just one of many expenses to make these ). I had a number of these custom made Carbon Fiber Fairing panels made and used them on my bikes .  I have since sold these bikes and these CF panels are extras that I had in my shop.  I had just found these when I was cleaning up and moving stuff around .  I had forgotten that I had these gemsAny way. since I dont have a bike that these fit. I have no more use for them . and they are for sale. The Carbon Fiber panels actually make the SB8R / SB8RS a better bike.  These CF panels dont deform . or crack or break like the thin brittle plastic originals. Also CF is much more durable than the plastics These were very expensive to have custom made .  PLEASE NOTE : These are RAW CARBON FIBER FAIRING PANELS as they came out of the molds.  They will still need to be "finished " before they can be fitted to a bike.  For those not familiar with this . any good body shop that works with molded fibers / CF or composites can do this. If you are a wrench or adventurous you might be able to do this yourself. In a nut shell. what they need to get them ready for the bike would include the following steps :1) Trim . the edges where there is excess from the molding will need to be trimmed off ( tools might include: knives. grinders . sanders . edge finishing tools ) 2) Drilling . any "holes " will need to be drilled out to size 3) Wet Sanding . progressively finer grits 4) Prep work for painting / finishing 5) Primer and or Clear Coat 6) Paint where desired 7) Stickers . logos . pen striping ( if needed )  8)  Final Clear Coat layers to finish These CF panels are structural pieces not cosmetic pieces. They were made to be painted and used on a bike to use the machine on street . track  and or race .  These are not what is referred to as cosmetic pieces.  You dont just put these on a bike with a little clear coat and have a bike for the show.  These were made to be strong enough to use on street and or track and to be very reliable and durable.  The ones I used we painted parts of them and other areas we clear coated so that they gave a good mix of color and see through CF weave.  Some of them we primer and painted with no CF show through.  THIS LISTING IS FOR 4 ( FOUR ) OF THESE CARBON FIBER PANELS : THE RIGHT AND LEFT FAIRING SIDE PANELS AND THE RIGHT AND LEFT FAIRING BELLY PAN HALVES In the pictures it shows these 4 panels plus an additional pair of Belly Pan Haves ( the extra set of belly pan pieces is listed separately on Ebay) The winner of the listing will get the 2 side fairing panels in CF and will get the best set / pair of the belly pan pairs ( my hand pick ) Do not buy these if you think you are getting ready to bolt on parts or parts totally finished and ready to go.  Please look at the pictures as they are part of the listingcontact me with any QsThanks DAO
