1988 BMW K 100 RS RED

Here we have my 1987 K100RS in Marakesh Red. this machine was laid up in the shed of its previous owner for a few years with it not being used. Prior to my ownership its last MOT was in May 2008 at 43. 95 miles.  I acquired the machine in June 2013 and had it  recomissioned by BMW specialists  Scriminger Engine Developments of Sleaford in Lincolnshire with a receipt to prove. Since being re commissioned I have only used it sparingly on a couple of VMCC runs. The machine is on the button and is the usual reliable K bike. I have had the exhaust heatshield captive nut cages  replaced and the heatshield was bead blasted and powder coated gloss black. New stainless footrest bracket bolts have been fitted and liberally lubed for future easy removal if ever needed.

The machine has BMW heated grips but only the right grip works I have a used left grip for any new owner to fit or have fitted. The machine comes with the BMW Panniers the lids of which have also been repainted in a course textured plastic compatible paint.

There is evidence of some paintwork refinishing in the past and during my ownership I have had the following undertaken: The belly pan refinished due to  stone chipping and flaking  in places. both mirrors due to minor fair wear and tear scuffing and the right lower fairing panel refinished due to  one small  scuff.  

 A 12v power socket is fitted. The dual seat is in a generally good condition with some creasing and deterioration of the cover as shown in the picture.

The tyre are in good condition with Metzeler Lasertecs front and rear. the front has 3mm of tread and the rear which was replaced in 2013 has 7mm of tread remaining. All paintwork refinishing undertaken  in my ownership has been carried professionally.
