BMW R80 TIC Ex-Met Police bike with very low mileage for a 1985 motorbike.
30 Year old classic bike in great condition which has been dried stored in a carpeted garage over the last two years of my ownership. The bike runs and dives as it should and will be sold with a years MOT.
The bike has good history with it and has been maintained to a very high standard. Lots of old tax discs. Mot's and even it's old style V5. Most of the work carried out on the bike has been invoiced some of the following items have been fitted: New clutch plate & release bearing. new Dunlop Arrowmax tyres fitted to the front & rear. new rear brake master cylinder kit. front brake flexi hoses. front brake pads. new front fork oil. new rear diff oil. new engine oil. The previous owner paid to have the bike's tappet clearances set up. carbs taken apart. cleaned and then set up by a BMW specialist.
Being an Ex-Met Police bike it comes with some different features to a standard R80. The rear panniers are a different shape (Narrower. maybe to pass through traffic easier). blue lights fitted to the front of the bike. extra storage with a tank compartment (maybe for a ticket book and pen). different style seating arrangement. adjustable load rated rear shocks and a hazard light switch in the centre.
The bike has seen very little use while I’ve owned it which is the reason it has to go to a home where it’s used and enjoyed all year round. While I’ve owned the bike it’s never been used or left out in the rain. The bikes been kept under a protective dust cover while stood in a carpeted garage.
