Description

BMW R100/7 R100RS in fantastic condition

Hello and thanks for looking.

This is a 10 day Spares or Repairs auction with a sensible reserve and no buy it now price. It is not advertised anywhere else and I will not stop the auction for any reason so you can bid with confidence that only the highest bidder will win the auction.

I have:

V5

Keys

MOT until 12 October 2015. Lots of old MOT's.

A big red folder with loads of service history.

I have proof of clear HPI

This R100/7 is in really nice condition. No expense has been spared with invoices for ?2118 since April 2013 for everything from a replacement tank. battery and starter motor to a new clutch!

It had a massive service in July with an invoice for ?680. 35 and was last serviced in October just under 1000 miles ago which included checking tappets. timing and carbs so it's ready to ride.

The guy who owned it is a professional violinist and was covering a good few miles with his obscenely expensive violin strapped to the rear seat.

As you would expect the engine starts willingly and runs smoothly with that reassuringly slow tick-over. It's been fitted with a kick start gear box at some point which I think is really cool. they need a knack to use them effectively (see Youtube) but nowadays they're a bit of a novelty but a God send in an emergency. The rear Hagon shocks look new and the rest of the chrome work is in very good condition.  All electrics work as they should. it's fitted with twin horns and there's a power take-off mounted on the handlebars which have a riser which brings the bars slightly up and about two inches closer. It's fitted with BMW panniers and even though they're not shown in the pictures there's a pair of fairing bags and a top case and rack which will come with the bike. There are a couple of chips on the tank (see pictures) which is a shame because it newly painted but a little touch in would take your eye away from them. There are signs of a bit of over-spray on the N/S of the nose fairing by the headlamp where it looks like someone has blown over a small bit of paint that's flaked off. The tyres are both good with lots of miles still in them and the rims and spokes are in very good condition.

This is a really nice example which must be the absolute last of the spoked wheel models. The fairings were developed by BMW in a wind tunnel which they made a big noise about at the time because it works so well. however. if you're thinking of buying this for a project as a street fighter then pay special attention to how clean and tidy the engine and frame are. This is a well kept and well maintained genuine 80311 mile (2170 miles/year) bike that has had only five owners (1 per 7. 4 years).

This is a real keeper so bid with confidence.

Transport

I have my own pick up so I may be able to help with local deliveries for a fee.

For deliveries that are a little further afield. I can recommend a very professional motorcycle courier called who's delivery costs are more than reasonable (phone number on request) or you can get a free quote from Shiply (it’s a web site a bit like eBay where courier companies bid for your delivery) using this link. http://www. shiply. com/rf/TQIGW8UGLA/ I’ve had some customers who have used the site and have been very pleased with the results.

I’m in South Devon

I am located in beautiful sunny South Hams in Devon close to Plymouth. Exeter and Totnes. so handy for trains or Exeter airport. The roads are twisty and scenic. so why not collect and make a weekend of it. Ride stunning coastal roads or head up on to the moors and end the day with a good meal and a few pints of Jail Ale at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown (there’s camping and a bunk house if you over do it!) Head for The Camel and discover the vineyard that beat the best Champaign to hold the title for the world’s best sparkling rose.  Don’t go home without a mega brunch at Cap’n Jaspers on the Barbican in Plymouth. nbsp;loved by bikers. sailors. later-nighters and. er. pirates!? Spend an evening in great company. alfresco at The Winking Prawn in Salcombe or spend a lazy afternoon at The Oyster Shack in Aveton Gifford. Of course there are cream teas. pasties and some brilliant British surf.  Great gastro pubs. beer and loads of B&B's.  Most importantly you’ll find a welcome from all the bikers in Devon and Cornwall which has the highest density of motorcycles per capita in the UK!
