2003 BMW R1150 GS Adventure, Nice bike with all the extras, nice seat too!!

There are full details about the bike below. but of course please feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss anything.

Large pictures are below the text. The bike will be as I got it or washed by myself before the pictures. but has had no other detail cleaning.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

A decent example of the fantastic GSA. Standard factory specification. plus the seat of course. yes it is deer.

Bike is used but will clean up well. and has a fantastic service history! Rides well. and ready to go!

BASIC DETAILS:

Books and manuals: Both books and service book fully stamped

SPECIFICATION AND EXTRAS:

ABS. heated grips. BMW spotlights. BMW aluminium panniers. top case and frames.

SERVICE HISTORY:

Full BMW dealer history! 9 mileage services. and 6 annuals! Last service at 57 k. so due at 63500 to be after 6 k. so I would do oil and filer now and then a normal service at 66 k to get back on the mileage track.

Nothing needed now. tyres about 1/2 worn. I have done a fork seal and a new MOT. no advisory's.  

Ready to ride.  

FAULTS AND ISSUES:

Nothing really I can tell on the mechanicals now. all seems fine for the age and miles.

Needs some stainless fasteners. and a bit of paint on the forks and bridge. The bike would benefit from a detail clean. as i have done a wash only.

Bit of corrosion on the rear hub. Please see the pictures.

Bike has quite a lot of tar on it from last year. so would be better with this removed. I don't have a chemical for that here at the moment.  

Some paint starting to lift on the cylinder heads. and some rust on the lower chromed part of the exhaust.

TEST RIDE DETAILS:

Bike rides really well. and is as you would expect for the age and miles.  

Nothing wrong I can find.

CONCLUSIONS:

A nice genuine example with a bit of a twist. you can always swap the seat!

I am located in the south west. close to the A303. the M3 and about an hour from Bath. Bristol and Southampton. Two hours' drive/90 miles from London.

I am also convenient for a mainline railway station with direct services from London Waterloo and I would be happy to collect you from the local railway station if you wish to travel here by train and then ride the bike home.

I am happy to discuss delivery (for a fee) if this helps. as I have a pick up truck. or to advise on collection services.

Delivery in the UK is ?130 England or Wales. a bit more to Scotland.

I am selling this bike as a TRADER and I do this as my full-time occupation. with 30+ years experience in the trade.

The bike IS NOT registered to me but will be on a dealer S. O. R. N. Most of my stock is purchased directly from official dealers. so the bikes have been checked by the dealer as well as myself. I will always ride and check the machines myself before sale. and they are fully able to be ridden home. unless otherwise noted in the ad. It may not have any tax . but there is a Post Office a few minutes from the house if you need/want to tax it. I have a very fine professional mechanic friend who does work for me. so anything done on the bikes is done by an expert.
