Description

You are looking at a professionally-rebuilt no-expense-spared BMW R (flat twin/airhead/twin-shock) cafe racer conversion with BRAND-NEW tyres (Continental Classic Attack). custom paint job in BMW metallic blue. gold and pearlescent white with silver wheels and block. black frame and panels (as original).  The donor bike was a 1983 R100RT (see pic) with 73k on the clock (old MOTS to prove) but the engine has been refreshed with new rings (now nicely bedded in) and rocker covers.  Matching engine & frame nos.  Nothing to do unless you want to embellish or tweak: frame shot-blasted; everything repainted. refurbed or replaced/upgraded; new headlight; new wiring loom; new Hagon shocks; wheels restored; new Brit reverse cone mega exhausts (unbelievable sound - fitted baffles so all legal); braided hoses; stainless fasteners all round; new custom seat; new sub-frame; new underseat battery with connector for charger; led indicators; lcd speedo; Tarozzi rearsets; Tommaselli grips etc etc and it's all shaken down. ready to ride away.  Some foot scuffs from regular use. easily touched up if you want. Never dropped or come into contact with anything except me and the MOT mech. She is used at least weekly and not only looks beautiful but is incredibly good fun. blats and filters with the best. Complete all-rounder. I have been to France on her and she is is great for vintage track days.  Super low-down torque. excellent brakes and easy to stay legal. you don't need to do more than 70 to enjoy the bike (although she will go faster). Vintage handling of course. but surprising how much fun that is. way better IMO than most modern sports bikes. many of which frankly are disappointing in comparison. This sort of conversion is becoming popular. and for good reason.  Good donor bikes are fetching ?3k+ and if you went to a Speed Shop you are talking ?10k+ for this spec. Serious enquiries only please- not a distress sale. no advertisers or agents.  Admiring comments not necessary - ferry was delayed 4 hours last summer and I lost count of how many people came up to ogle this bike. They literally queued up to talk to me!For insurance purposes she is standard/vintage - I am paying ?100 fully comp before NCB. Next MOT due November 2015 - advisory relates to non-standard reg plate (she has two sets :-)Bank transfer preferred. other methods possible. but payment must clear before collection.  Delivery possible in the UK at cost (est 3 figures). but bike sold as seen.  Overseas buyers welcome but you will have to arrange collection.
