I've decided to sell my Beemer - K1200GT - 52000 miles. good condition but some age related marks. everything works. rear tyre very good. front tyre near limit. This is the earlier. pre 2006. shape. It is what it is. looks good. goes well. but now very underused. MOT until 31/08/2015. Tax until 28/02/2015 after which SORN. There's an owner's manual. a service manual and a folder with old MOTs and receipts but no Service Manual. Please feel free to ask any questions. Note 1: Although I'm sure the kind offers to take it off my hands for less than its worth are well intentioned it is not costing me anything to keep it. Note 2: My best price is ?3000. which is why I have chosen to advertise it at this. Note 3: Just to be clear - Collection only! If you're interested in a bit of waffle. I've reached the point in life where the insurance companies and credit card lenders are very friendly and cheap. I've had more than one bike for several years but I am not a dealer or a mechanic. I earn a few quid caring for the elderly and disabled. My father had been ill for many years so I always had something available for the 400 mile round trip. Prior to the Beemer was a Triumph Trophy 1200 and a Honda Pan European 1100. this is in a different league. It has served its purpose. but has become redundant since my father's funeral and the necessary legal nonsense that follows. If you haven't tried a BMW I would highly recommend it. even if its not mine. It's an excellent piece of engineering and easy to ride once you get used to the indicators. This one has several bells and whistles which all work as they should. ABS. Cruise Control. Heated Grips. Heated Seat. Electrically Adjustable Screen (I'm not convinced this is necessary). The bike comes with the original hard panniers (these have sustained a few scratches shown in the photos). a Baglux tank cover (but no bag). and a BMW/Givi rack with a Givi Top Box. The rack is the only thing to have failed. It is attached with a key matched lock which decided to unlock itself and jump off the back of the bike. The top box sustained some severe scrapes but is still functional. The rack lock no longer works. but the locking mechanism is discretely secured with cable ties. (My guess is this wasn't made by BMW). If you want any more info send me a message or give me a call. If you want to have a look/listen let me know. the kettle's rarely cold when I'm at home.
