1988 BMW K 100 RT Blue/Black Tourer, Fairing, Panniers & Top Box, MOT, Gd Runner

K100RT    1988MOT April 2015         MILEAGE 92829Registration Number F905 RDFServiced regularly throughout my 20 years ownership. Permanently garaged. Battery nearly one year old. Starts instantly. Runs like a dream. Tyres changed in 2010 mileage 88000. Still lots of tread on them. Heated Grips. Two sets of keys. All paperwork on fileDoes not drop oil or waterOil level remains constant between services i. e. never needs topping up. Side panier boxes are BMW including inner bags. Top box is Nonfango 848 (Italian) quickly detachable suitcase style that is deep enough to take a crash helmet. This box clicks  into place in seconds and comes off in seconds but is very firmly in place on the bike. I used to carry my week’s worth of clothes and toiletries in it when I worked away from home. Very clever design.  Additional NotesThe bike is blue but the tank is black due to a petrol leak in the original tank. Very unhappy to sell my lovely old bike that has been religiously maintained to sustain its reliability. This is obvious by the way that it starts instantly and runs sweetly. I have been through the Alps twice and would go again tomorrow without hesitation – she is so dependable. It has not seen much mileage in the last two years due to my deteriorating eyesight. In the last year it just went to the next village for MOT. The year before that it only did 150 miles between MOTs. It always passes the MOT except once when it had a warped brake disc that was replaced a few years ago. So it is with deep regret that I have to part with my trusty steed that has served me so well. The pictures you see here were taken in the last couple of days so that’s exactly how she looks right now. Just a few minor scuffs around the mirrors and a small white mark on right of fairing. as shown in the pictures. Not bad for a 27 year old bike.
