BMW K100RS 1988 SPECIAL EDITION IN AMAZING CONDITION - MUST BE SEEN !

This bike is now provisionally sold. BMW K100RS 1988 SPECIAL EDITIONA superb example of this BMW classic. This bike. while not mint. is in fantastic super clean condition for a bike almost 27 years old. It was first registered on 26-06-1988 and has had just three keepers before myself. The mileage displayed is 27812 and the bike comes with plenty of old MOTs etc. to back this up as genuine. The 1988 special edition had stunning metallic pearl white and blue paintwork and this is still original and in excellent condition there are a few stone chips but nothing to detract from the look of the bike The seat still has its original blue cover and it is still in good condition. The special edition was fitted with panniers and a top box as standard and these are included in the sale but are not currently fitted to the bike. The last photo was taken a while ago and shows the bike with them fitted. I believe that this year and model was also the first production motorcycle to be fitted with ABS. The bike is. as far as I can tell. all original and standard. It has has oil and filter annually. new brake pads all round. brake fluid change. new plugs. fork oil change. gearbox oil change. final drive oil change. coolant change. drive shaft splines cleaned and lubricated with BMW recommended grease Valve clearances checked (all fine) etc. etc. It passed its MOT on 06-03-2015 with no advisories and has MOT until 04-04-2016. The tyres have plenty of mileage left in them. There are a few minor bad points - A very slight weep of oil from the rocker coverOne of the gaiters where the fork legs exit the fairing is torn. These are still available new from Motorworks. The side stand just touches the silencer slightly as it folds up. A really stunning modern classic bike which attracts attention and admiration wherever it goes. All sorted and ready for summer !  You really will struggle to find a nicer or better K100.
