1982 BMW R100RS Red Smoke New Paint Low Miles

OVERALLThis is an BMW R100RS. First off. I do not have the fairing. It did not have the fairing when it came to me. However. if you enter the VIN at Max BMWs web site it will verify that this is an R100RS. When I received the motorcycle it had been painted yellow. The paint job was very well done. but I like originality. It is shown in the last picture. I own a restoration shop. but this was my personal bike. I have ridden it for the last two years. All bodywork was performed using 3M and Dupont products. The bike was sanded down and sprayed with epoxy primer. High build primer was sprayed and block sanded down. Acrylic sealer was applied. Then the pin stripes were painted and taped off. The two tone paint was applied. tape removed from pin stripes and all covered in several layers of clear coat. It was then wet sanded and buffed to a high luster. All parts used on the motorcycle are factory parts from MAX BMW. There are no leaks and no outstanding issues. The inside of the gas tank is in excellent condition and is lined. There is an image. ACCESSORIESThe clear windscreen fell off the shelf and cracked. IT IS NOT USEABLE! The saddle bags have some small cracks around the latches. but still operate properly. They lock and unlock and latch securely to the bike. ENGINEThe engine runs flawlessly. The 40mm Bings have been rebuilt and synced. The oil has been changed as well as the plugs. The engine is factory fitted with an oil cooler. 40mm Bing carburetors and 40mm exhaust pipes. TRANSMISSIONThe five speed transmission shifts smoothly through all gears and there is no slippage of the clutch. The fluid has been changed and there are no leaks. SUSPENSIONThe forks have new fluid and no leaks. The rear shocks are operating properly and have no leaksELECTRICALAll the accessories and gauges operate properly. BRAKESThe front brakes are dual disc with good wear left on the pads. The rear is a single hydraulic disc with good wear left on the pads. WHEELS AND TIRESThe tires have thousands of miles left. The front is a Metzler Laser and the rear is a Michelin Pilot. The wheels are factory "snowflakes" and have no curb rash. SHIPPINGI can assist with loading and finding a carrier.
