**Please review my over 800 perfect 100% Feedback**This is a good running1966 BMW 60/2 - vin# 628692 **matching numbers on engine. frame and frame tag - please see in photos**I purchased this motorcycle recently after months of negotiating with the seller. Rarely can you find a nice running 60/2 in decent shape especially with it's ultra rare fiberglass saddlebags. It has the patina of a 50 year old motorcycle. Not perfect but very presentable. starts with ease. shifts thru gears and cruises very nicely. Brakes are a bit weak and need adjusting as well as the right side carburetor - it is popping a bit and probably wouldn't hurt to rebuilt both carbs - The previous owner removed the battery and I've cruised the bike around my neighborhood without it - 6 volt batteries are $50 and previous owner said all lights function properly - in the video you will notice the brake light working fine. I'm not a mechanic. just a lover of these beautiful old machines. **My daughter video taped me today starting and driving the 60/2 down the street in front of our home in downtown Seattle - You will get a great sense of how well it runs and cruises - please check out the youtube video:youtube. com/watch?v=vbeBRe9WU_MThere have been no leaks and the manual carb chokes work as they should. Neutral light and generator light work well. Really nice original seat. Avon tires have 90% tread life left. As with the majority of these great machines. over the years they suffer some corrosion and dings and scratches - heres a list of the cosmetic flaws - I try to be as honest as possible but because I am human i may miss something:- some paint chips on gas tank and various areas on the bike - normal wear- small ding on headlight bucket - scratches and paint chips in various places but overall good appearance for a 50 year old motorcycle. - original exhaust pipes have some corrosion and some small dings - no major dents - previous owner used a silver heat paint to touch up some corrosion areas on pipes and wheels. - no key for the gas tank storage compartment or front fork lock- front and rear wheel have some corrosion - the front drum cover has a dent- most of the chrome is in good shape but there are some areas on wheels. front handlebar mounts. and some other areas where the chrome is patina'd or some evidence of rust. - some of the fins on the cylinders have brokenAnyone looking for a nice driver needing some minor tinkering and cosmetics will be happy to own this great vintage airhead - I have an extremely fair reserve considering the saddlebags are worth $1500 by themselves. WInning bidder to send $500 via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end - Balance to be paid via cashiers check within 3 days of auction end. (Wells Fargo Bank cashiers check preferred for faster clearing)Sold as-is. where is with no warranty stated or implied. Shipping costs responsibility of the buyer - Rest assured I will assist the winning bidder with shipping details and the bike can remain in my garage for up to 2 weeks after auction end. On Mar-17-15 at 08:10:38 PDT. seller added the following information:**As mentioned in the description. the motorcycle starts. runs. drives without it's 6 volt battery - headlight and tail light were tested and they both work fine - just need a $50 6 volt battery which i have not had the time to purchase. some owners prefer gel type battery so thought i would leave it up to the buyer to make that decision - thanks!***I've had several requests to sell the saddle bags separately - **Please do not ask me to sell the saddle bags separately - not happening. they belong with this great bike!
