1976 BMW R75/6 beautiful unrestored original 22,800 miles - low reserve

This is a beautiful unrestored but very well-maintained example of BMW's classic 1976 R75/6 750cc airhead. As of April 3 it has only 22. 68 miles on it. and though I may take it out for short trips while the auction is running the mileage at time of auction close will be less than 22. 00 miles. It is a powerful. smooth motorcycle that is a joy to ride. In addition to images on the eBay server I've included clickable thumbnails below. Click on any one of the images below to open a high resolution image. All photos were taken yesterday in natural light and are not modified or retouched except for cropping and downsizing of files. The photos are the best record of cosmetic condition. As they illustrate this motorcycle is in excellent cosmetic condition. All paint and plating is factory original. The most noticeable signs of use and age are a hairline crack in the left side cover (repaired by the previous owner) and a very shallow ding in the lower left front of the gas tank. which is only noticeable from certain angles as illustrated. The BMW is in superb mechanical condition and is ready to ride. It is currently titled. licensed and registered in my name in Pennsylvania. The embedded video below illustrates cold starting yesterday. It alway starts almost instantly. requiring the choke only in cold weather. The engine runs clean and strong. and holds a steady idle. The clutch. brakes. transmission. horn. lights and turn signals are all in proper working condition. The tach. speedo. odometer and trip odometer work properly. There is some silicone sealer around the edge of the speed glass. put there by a previous owner. The oil (20-50W motorcycle specific non-synthetic) and oil filter were last changed at 22. 00 miles. At that time the gearbox fluids. rear wheel drive and final drive oil were also changed (Bel Ray Gear Saver hypoid gear oil SAE 90W). Both tires are in excellent condition. The rear is a Dunlop 491 120/90B18 71H and the front is a Cheng Shin 3. 25/85H19. The seat has no tears or rips in the cover and the cushioning is still plush and very comfortable. The paint on the underside of the seat pan is flaking. It could easily be touched up. The seat latch works but the latch lock does not. The battery was replaced less than 2 years ago with a correct heavy duty Yuasa. The front brake caliper was rebuilt with genuine BMW parts in 2013 and the front brake pads were replaced at that time. Fuel lines and inline filters were also replaced in 2013. This auction includes the motorcycle. the original tool kit. the original BMW factory owner's manual and an original BMW English-language repair manual. I also have the original rear fender mud guard which I removed. All these loose items must be picked up with the bike. I'm a private enthusiast. not a dealer. This motorcycle has been part of a personal collection. My riding habits no longer justify holding on to multiple motorcycles. This BMW is being sold as-is where-is. with no warranties or guaranties expressed or implied. I've done my best to describe and illustrate it fully and honestly. Please ask any questions before bidding. I am also offering this BMW privately and reserve the right to end this auction early up until the eBay reserve is met. Once eBay reserve is met I will not end the auction early. Please don't ask what the reserve is. It is considerably lower than what this BMW model has been selling for recently on eBay. The motorcycle is available for inspection by seriously interested parties on an appointment basis - please contact me through eBay. It is located approximately 1 hour from Philadelphia or Baltimore and 2 hours from New York City or Washington DC. I will not crate or ship this vehicle and prefer pickup by the buyer however I will work with the buyer's shipper as my schedule allows. I will not be available for pickup April 11. 13. 14 or 15.
