A rare model for Spanish market 1962 BMW R27 single cylinder motorcycle. matching # 378891 - on frame. engine and ID tag. It is in black lacquer paints and hand pinstripe. It starts with one kick. run strong. no smoke. no piston slap. very quite. clutch is light like feather . all evidence of a low mileage bike . according to BMW achieve. this BMW R 27 VIN 378891 was manufactured on March 30th. 1962 and delivered on May 30th. 1962 to the BMW importer Inter-Atlantica in Madrid. Spain. . It is a rare model of BMW R27 with variation headlamp and controls per Spanish market. very few sample available. And only other one I ever saw in US is in Babar Museum. We adjusted the timing . valve. typical 53 years old bike. some pints lost. touch up and rust spots. and be good show bike base or just and ride and envies. I rode about 30 miles on this bike. the front brake Headlight. brake. license light all function as expected. switch cut off works perfectly alloy rims and steel spokes. . The R27 is last of German build BMW single cylinder and according to all BMW collector it is the best of all singles and most practical of the vintage single.
