1973 BMW R75/5 R75 LWB Airhead Boxer - Great Rider 63k miles Clean - Cool ColorBike is in great shape for its age. I believe it was restored at some point in its life and possibly had the engine rebuilt but I am not sure. Paint is non original but it is a cool color and very eye catching. The tank does have a small crease from the previous owner leaning it against something. Unfortunately one of the toaster side covers fell off on a ride somewhere. Has the typical weak and bent side stand but I do have the center stand for it however it needs some hardware. Great candidate for a Brown side stand. Bike runs and rides very well. The valves need adjustment and it wouldn't hurt to have the carbs synched. There is a little bit of smoke when first started but clears up when warmed up which I believe will be fixed when the valves are adjusted. All lights work but the switch could use replacement as it is a little finicky when turning the lights on. Electric start works and bike starts right up. The tag and frame numbers match but the engine has an earlier serial number but it is actually very close to the bike's serial number. Exhaust has been upgraded to a 2 into 1 system and shocks are units from Progressive Suspension. Seat lock is worn out and you have to push the lever over to lock the seat in. Otherwise this bike needs nothing major and is ready to ride. I was going to put the white pinstripes on the bike to make it look a little more original but haven't done it. I have ridden this bike quite a bit the past couple of months and it has been awesome. I purchased a Triumph TR6C and I like the handling a lot better so this one is on the chopping block.
