Not just slipping a little. You can get it up to speed but it takes patience. I had intended to change the clutch on thisbefore selling it. Currently I have too many loyal customer service jobs to do before we close up shop for the month of August as we have done here for over 30 years.With a new clutch this bike would sell for about $3500.00. The engine must be removed to access the clutch. Clutch parts are about $400.00This is a great opportunity if you have the skill and want to save some money.I have seen these BMW's running strong with over a quarter million miles on them.As a police unit you can be sure that it has had regular scheduled service from day one. This one only has 63628 miles on it.I think the man I bought it from did a bad clutch adjustment which caused it to slip andfade out. As you can see and hear in the video the engine sounds solid and it runsvery nice and smooth. Engine compression is great and there is no smoke from the exhaust.I find no leaks of any kind. On 6-08-15 I did install an new Yuassa battery and changed the oil and fuel in the tank. I did this for the purpose of making the videoso that you could see it running and that I could verify the overall condition.All the lights and gauges work. The tires need replacing. The windshield is in rough condition. The right mirror is mountedbut the glass is cracked. Both side bags mount on nice and solid but the right one will not lock because the tumbler is bad. Please look at all the pictures and you will seethat this bike has some scratches on it but overall looks good.With some work this bike should offer at least another 150k miles of great service.TITLEWe have the clear title shown in the last picture. I am licensed and bonded with the California DMV. I am also a licensed vehicle verifier. If you are in California then I will also collect the sales tax of 8% plus $120.00 registration fee plus a document preparation charge of $65.00. I will give you a temporary registration permit on the spot and your new registration will come to you in the mail. You will not stand in line at the DMV and there will be no surprises. If you are outside of California and you ship by common carrier then you will pay only the purchase price and I will hand you or mail you the title.
