1978 R100RS in very good condition with 95 000 miles and counting- used dailyIt is the US model with snow flake style wheels and two disk brakes on the front wheel and one on the rear wheel (no drum brakes). The cylinder heads have two spark plugs each and there is a electonic power buster. This is all original equipement from that era. Nothing was done to the bike otherwise except for regular maintance change of all fluids regulary- engine transmision shaft and final drive oil brake fluid gackets bolbs cables atc but nothing to change the original set-up. The tires are new. The bike is in original condition. The left mirror is damaged and the sreen was changed to protect the instuments from the sun.Bike’s history:The R100 RS was purchased new by Mr. Bodo B. Koppe from Cycle Werks Of Berington in Ilinoi 5/23/1979. To my estimate he put about 40.000 miles on the bike and kept the bike properly serviced (records of this are included).The second owner from Chicago purchased the bike and soon moved to NYC I understand thathe put only few miles on it. I bought the R100RS from him in Brooklyn in 1993 and I am putting miles on it ever since. Bike is inspected and in good running condition.
