Description

This bike has been fully rebuilt back to as close to an original state as I could get it. I tried to keep in the spirit of originality by reusing as many original (to this bike) parts that I could. I did not go overboard and polish things that were not originally polished, t only has a few small SS pieces that could not be replaced with original type. The single stage paint was applied in a thin coat just as they did in 64, he stripes where painted free hand with a few flaws just like it was originally. The entire bike has been rebuilt, very seal, earing, asket has been replaced. Shocks are new, ires and tubes are new, ll rubber parts and cables are new. The wheels have been rebuilt using the original aluminum rims, riginal hubs and new spokes. The tank has been re-coated on the inside with the correct red coating, he pet cock is original and has been rebuilt. Only the chrome pieces that could not be used as is where replated, ll the original hardware was reused after being replated in clear zinc. All the bulbs have been replaced, he speedometer was rebuilt by North Hollywood Speedometer. The only concessions I have made to originality where using a powder coated center stand. I did this for durability as regular paint does not hold up well on stands and they begin to rust easily. I also replaced the horn with a modern 6 volt replacement, am including the original horn if the new owner wishes to look into getting it repaired. It is in fine condition, ust does not function as it should. The engine was completely rebuilt using new valves, ings and a few other internals that needed replaced as well as of course all new seals and gaskets. At the same time the gearbox was completely gone through along with the rear drive assembly and carburetor. The bike starts and runs very well, dles nice and shift through all gears correctly. All electrical components work as they should. Also included with the original horn is the original tank badges, ain and spare ignition keys, ork lock keys, epair manual, ertificate of authenticity from BMW and LOT’S of receipts for the parts purchased as well as labor that was outsourced during this restoration. Bike has the tool kit (it is not totally complete, ut includes everything that came with the bike) that includes the original pouch and I had all the tools replated. I have a clear Ohio title in my name, eady to sell. I can not provide any shipping quotes or advice, ut will be happy to work with your shipper. I require a non refundable deposit through paypal of $500 within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The balance to be paid within 2 weeks. I can store the bike up to 3 weeks after the end of auction only. Thanks for looking, lease don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

To follow up and answer and few questions about the bike. The bike was originally painted in the Dover white color, hich is verified with the certificate from BMW. The bike was completely disassembled down to the frame, he frame was soda blasted down to raw steel before being repainted. This was a complete restoration, very nut, olt etc. was replated renewed or replaced with new. I also am adding a picture of the underside of the tank where we duplicated the initial of the person who did the stripes at the factory.
