Description
1986 BMW K75 Caf? 750 cc
This is a really sweet, eliable, un ride. Like driving a hot knife blade thru butter. Holds tight in corners and offers a nice, table ride, ven at high speeds. You don’t see a BMW K75 caf? too often. You see plenty (too many) Hondas, uzuki’s, tc. If you’re not part of the herd, his is your bike. Water cooled, 50 cc, ullet proof engine. These engines can go 300,000 miles! Electric starter starts instantly. Shaft drive, ingle rear shock, wing arm, tc—way ahead of its time. Bike is in great cosmetic shape too. No tank dents or damage anywhere on bike. (anything that looks weird is just camera glare) Everything works perfectly. I don’t know how many miles are on this, ut the engine runs strong, o issues, o leaks. I’ve owned it 2 years and had the San Diego BMW dealer fix even the tiniest issues. Nice, mooth power curve. Stock pipes. Shifts great. Brakes are solid. What’s great about the K75 series is that there are PLENTY of available, heap parts on Ebay and everywhere for this bike and it’s an easy bike to work on. I’ll try to answer your questions, ut I’m not an expert mechanic or know too much ‘technically’ about this bike. All I can tell you is that it started out as a 1986 K75 and everything, fairings, enders, ights, eat, tc) except what you see in the pics, as taken off. I do not have the take-off parts. The tank was lead sealed and the bike painted with Mercedes Benz iridium silver paint. A lot of the engine accessories were either replaced or rebuilt (battery, adiator, ater pump, tc) It’s got a converted bicycle speedo, hich doesn’t work well, o that’s the only thing I’d want to replace with something decent. You can buy nice mini speedo/tach combo, hich would look awesome, or about $150. It’s a nice comfortable riding position. I’m 6 ft, 75 lbs. The seat is barebones, imited padding, n a seat pan. But that’s old school and how it should be. Totally cool, intage look. I had retinal detachment surgery and had sight issues for almost 3 years, ut when my vision was restored, fter multiple surgeries, bought this caf?. I’m now buying a plane, s I just passed the eye test and got my aviation medical certificate back, s well. (happy days ahead!!! ). So, ome of my toys are going, n favor of the aircraft. There’s only so much one can do in one day. I have the clear title, o liens. But it is a California salvage title, ecause the bike was stripped down and custom built. You should have no issues registering it in CA, r any state, ut check your local DMV before you bid, lease. If you want to inspect and test drive it, ring your motorcycle license and a valid insurance card.
