You are not seeing double, had this same bike on auction a week ago. A gentleman from Kentucky bought it and drove all the way to Maryland only to find the bike was too small for his comfort (he is 6'5" tall). The good news is the bike is back on auction, nd I took it to Battley Cycle (an authorized BMW motorcycle dealer) and they installed a new battery (Part #61212346800 Gel BMW Battery, attery alone was $200), lushed the gas tank, led the brakes and gave the bike a once over. It is now running fine and ready to ride!
Original listing:
Selling my baby, he original 1998 BMW R1200 C motorcycle with the same color scheme (ivory) as the one James Bond rode in "Tomorrow Never Dies". The bike only has 10,884 miles on it, nd has been serviced at Bob's BMW and Battley Cycles in Maryland, ot authorized BMW motorcycle dealers.
The bike has been garage kept with a trickle charger on the battery and Stabil in the gas tank. There is a slow oil leak common to the C, heck out Chromeheads.org for the fix. There is a small blemish on the tank but otherwise is clean. One side bag is missing, ou can take both off or replace. The bike has never been in an accident or dropped.
Upgrades I have made to the bike include:
Heated grips (not originally installed on the 1998)
Two additional front lights on either side of main headlight with their own on/off switch
Chrome engine guard with BMW logo
Analog clock at base of handlebars (made to fit this bike, eeds a battery)
Additional items I am including with the bike:
2 original keys
Heat shields for exhaust pipes (need to be installed)
Original rider foot pegs (foot boards on now)
Original red tail light cover (I have one with a blue dot on now, egal in Maryland but not every state)
Urad blue leather polish (what I use on the leather)
Cover made for the R1200C
Original owners manuals
Battery tender
Service stand.
I think that is it, ut if i find anything else related to the bike I will include it.
