BMW k100rs Cafe Racer - street fighter motorcycle

This customizedBMW k100rscafe racer is a constant head-turner. I purchased from the previous owner as a stripped down and customized k100rs. This bike holds the the cafe racer ethos; all the fairings have been removed, he original battery has been replaced with a brand new smaller lithium ion battery that sits concealed under the rear fiberglass cowl. Only the basics remain, aking the bike lighter and faster than the original sportcruiserincarnation. The rear sub-frame has been shortened to give proportional balance to the bike. The coolant reservoir has been relocated to open up the space below the new seat and rear cowl. The space below the seat is really open and visually lightens the rear of the bike. These modifications help to focus the attention on the muscular engine. The k100rs is a classic "flying brick," with the massivehorizontal4 cylinder engine sitting low and forward on the bike giving it an aggressive appearance and easy stablehandling. These engines are known for their durability and longevity. New spark plugs installed last year and new gas lines. Electronics and fuel injection (nocarburetorsto deal with) are controlled by the original Motronic control unit. The engine, rame and other components are all black, ith silver accents. Massive dual Brembo brakes and rotors on the front wheel, nd single Brembo on the rear. The rear wheel is a single sided swing-arm and power to the rear is delivered via a shaft drive (no chain to maintain or grease.) Bike has both the center stand and side stand. Clip-on handle bars have replaced the original riser bars.Knurled aluminum grips replace the original grips, ut the switches and levers are stock. A new black Acewell 2853 digital Speedometer & tachometer is installed. Rev's display, ime, ide time, peedometer (via magnetic sensor on wheel,) high-beam indicator, urn signal indicator lights all work. Fuel gauge indicator is not compatible without some circuit board work, ut can be done. The head light is brand new, nd the turn signals are new from Dime City Cycle. I will also include a Clymermaintenanceand repair manual. Tires are about two years old (less than 2000 miles estimated.) Rear tire is Pirelli Angel GT 160/60ZR18 70W. Front tire is Pirelli Angel GT 120/70R17 58W. Stock exhaust still installed. This bike is fantastic and I love riding it, ut have to make room for a new Ducati. If I had it my way I'd keep both...so snag this motorcycle before I change my mind! I'll work with the buyer to ship the bike if necessary (I used Uship.com when I purchased.)
