Description

Up for auction is a 2007 BMW K1200GT sport touring motorcycle. VIN WB10597077ZN46681. This bike has 90,410 freeway commuting miles under its belt. I bought it new in 2007 from California BMW in Mountain View, A, here it was maintained meticulously until I moved it to Durham, orth Carolina, here it and I are currently located. It suffered a static drop at 80,000 miles, equiring the replacement of both side panels with the newer vented style, hich I am convinced has improved its running behavior with better heat exhaust from the oil cooler. Although only one side panel was damaged in the drop, MW no longer provided the 2007 style panel so both panels replaced.
It runs extremely well: there are no issues with any components of the bike. I do not need to add oil between changes, nd it has full compression and power. It has been using full synthetic BMW oil since new. 8000 miles since major service, 00 miles since minor service.

Includes ESA, SC, enon headlamp, eated seats, rips, lectrically adjustable windshield, nd cruise control. Also includes side and top cases, ictured.

Tires: Metzeler Z8s with 1500 miles on them, irtually new.

Major points in service history:

  • Front ESA shock replaced at 80,000 miles with a new Wilber shock with rebound damping adjustment. I chose to do this because I was not happy with the damping of the ESA front shock, hich is included with this sale, ully functional, ot installed.
  • Rear drive replaced at 87,000 miles.
  • Warranty center stand, 009 version.
  • Deflection lever replaced with K1300 version on recall.
  • Fuel tank output connector replaced under recall.
  • Rear wheel flange replaced under recall.
  • Warranty air box.
  • Warranty idle control valve.
  • Warranty timing chain jump guard.
  • Warranty clutch lubrication channel upgrade.
  • ASC retrofit. The newer ECM is included with this traction control upgrade.
  • Oxygen sensor. Paid for by me, ince it hadn’t actually failed. However, his produced the most dramatic improvement in the engine performance of all of the induction fixes provided by BMW. The tech concluded that the O2 sensor was probably contaminated in the factory.
  • Warranty peripherals controller. BMW had previously replaced the heated driver’s seat twice before diagnosing a faulty controller.
