You are bidding on a VERY RARE. 1978 BMW R 100 SRS / RS.  You can see in the 35+ high quality photos we listed that this BMW is in excellent condition.  

It is completely original and comes with original BMW Saddle Bags and original S-Fairing. It comes with keys. original owner's manual. security locking cable and tool kit.

This is an original motorcycle. Not restored. rather a very very nice survivor. It runs great and is in excellent mechanical condition. It sat in storage for many years with a dozen other R 100 RS's. Upon leaving storage. it has been serviced. oil changed. carbs cleaned. fuel lines replaced and professionally detailed. The R 100 SRS is a rare piece of BMW history.

I was able to find some detailed info on the SRS on line. History:The Australian Police. placed an order for RS's and a few with S fairings. The order was eventually cancelled. but after BMW had already prepared them for shipment. So. Martini pinstriping was added and they were sold as limited edition specials.
