Just in is this terrific final-year BMW R1150RA - these late 1150s were really sweet with dual spark and a great power curve. The bike was sold new and lived around Asheville, C (Great Smoky Mountains) all but the last few months from new and appears to have always been inside and well cared for. Just this past July, t had its 18K mile service by Eurosport/BMW of Asheville, ncluding engine, earbox and rear drive oils as well as a brake fluid flush.

The most recent owner had it for just a few months and found that he preferred a more laid-back cruiser to a BMW. You can't please everyone! Hopefully someone is lucky enough to buy this in time for some great fall cruising - we are just three or so hours from Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway....

I checked everything over when the bike came in and found this to be an excellent running and riding example of what is in my mind the best oilhead boxer BMW ever made. If you follow my listings, ou didn't miss the R1200R we sold last month. I like the lower riding position and suspension setting of this bike - even though I'm a tall guy with a long inseam, really like the "short guy" setup of bar risers and the comfort low seat, t reminds me of a Ducati Monster without all the throbbing!

The deep side panniers are the same ones I am used to on a R1150RT, hey are quite sizeable - strap a duffel bag on the tail and hit the road for weeks...

The factory tail rack is there if you want to add a BMW or Givi trunk.

Both bags show light scuffing from the usual odd scuff from a riding boot but have no cracks or real damage.

You'll notice a light staining to the side of the tramission and engine case - this bike appears to have had a plastic fuel line disconnect failure when the engine was hot. We could try to get some of that stain out but I think it's unlikely. The silver lining in that cloud is that now this bike has the metal fuel line disconnects...

BMW always made a naked version of their bikes and this is perhaps one of the most attractive that they ever turned out! Note the front fender extender, hat was an option!

The front wheel is nearly perfect, ront brakes have plenty of meat left, ront tire is at about 30-35%, ou have some time left.

The factory suspension has been replaced front and rear with the best aftermarket solution - Wilbers.

The rear Wilbers Monoshock has a very accessible preload and damping adjustment, asy to set if you take on a passenger!

The rear wheel and exhaust are likewise in excellent condition.

Both small shift and brake pedals were replaced with BMW factory large pedals, hese are really nice... I hardly remembered that they had these!

The bars are on BMW set-back risers which put them at a great angle. The switches, rips and reservoirs are all in immaculate condition, videncing that the bike was never left outside for any length of time.

Close-up of the risers.

Seen here running at idle.

The bike was evidently sold new with cylinder head guards - the valve covers and guards show no evidence of the bike ever having been so much as rubbed up against a wall, et alone dropped.

The rear drive is clean and shows no evidence of any leaks or seepage.

The bike has all of its original tools, eys (along with key code), ulb and flat tire kit. A set of owners manuals are with the bike but they are not the originals - I suspect the dealer mixed this bike's books up with another bike that they were selling.

The books and tools fit neatly in waterproof bags in the underseat pan.

If you're not travelling far or just out for a ride, op a tank bag on the tag and go without the luggage. Like most BMWs, his looks terrific with bags on or off.

The VIN stamp and the production decal on the neck of the bike's frame.
