Original 1965 BMW R69S in excellent condition, ith triple matching serial numbers and clear title. This bike was originally purchased new by the local BMW motorcycle dealer. My father bought it from him (around 1980?) with 10,000 miles on it. He put another 8,000 miles on it before selling it to me around 1990. It now has 25,459 miles on the speedometer, hich works perfectly. I am including everything that came with the bike when I purchased it. This includes a very nice fairing and windshield, nice set of saddle bags with mounting hardware (one bag is missing a roundel), heavy duty cover, beautiful chrome engine guard, spectacular tool kit including finned exhaust nut wrench, he original owners manual and a light bulb kit. The tool kit includes 12 tools, ll stamped with "W. Germany". Two fork lock keys are included (fork lock works perfectly), s well as two ignition keys (one is the familiar plastic knob type, he other is a key-chain type key). There is also a tank lid key, hich appears to be homemade. The tank is the large touring style with the tool box lid on top. All pin-stripping is perfect and original, specially on the tank, hich is gorgeous inside and out; and the knee pads are in excellent shape, oo. The paint is original and in outstanding condition, ith the exception of a scuff mark on the tank a few inches below the left roundel. The large touring seat is comfortable and in excellent condition. Everything works properly on the bike, nd it starts with one kick and runs incredibly smooth and strong. All lights, ncluding bar-end signals, ork fine, s does the horn. The engine has had the oil changed every spring, lthough it typically has gotten less than 200 miles each year since 2005. The cylinder heads had cobalt-alloy Stellite valve seats installed around 20 years ago by a professional motorcycle shop to accommodate lead-free gasoline.
The original tar-top battery box was carved out years ago and a 6V battery slips down inside. The only other alteration is a pad extension on the left side kickstand for better stability, hich can easily be removed to original form. The bike has never fallen over, een spilled or set down; the crash bar nor the valve covers have any scratches on them. The mufflers are perfect NOS (new in 2000) with welded seams, till in excellent shape.
A deposit of $500 will be required within 48 hrs of sale. Bike must be picked up within 30 days unless arrangements are made with seller.
