Description

For sale is my BMW 2002 R1150 GS. It has the early pre-power ABS brakes, lenty of power and room for two people.
I have owned this bike for 3 years after purchasing it from my Father, he previous owner. He had too many bikes and not enough butts to ride them all at the same time. I am now in the same situation plus I have twin sons.Unfortunately with one other bike, he boys and plenty of hobbies it has only been ridden around 3,500 miles this year. I service and maintain the bike. I am dealer trained and and have changed the fluids every 3K to 6K miles (depending on trips) and adjusted valves every 6K miles. The bike runs great and recently did a trip to the BMW MOA rally in Billings. The bike has heidenau tires on it with around 8000 miles on them to date. They still have plenty of miles left in them. The bike is setup with Early Jesse Boxes and I also have the tool box and matching top case from Jesse. I have an extra set of Hepco Becker crashbars for it and it has Touratech bars on it now. Iboughtthe touratech bars used on ebay because I would hit my shins on the H&B bars. The bike has been tipped over a few times - all while stationary and always with crashbars and the jesse boxes on it. the boxes only show a little scuffing on the bottom edges. the bike is pictured with the red solo seat, also have a Russel Day long set for it and a Wunderlich set for it(set being front and back.) It has the cat eliminator and a Remus muffler on it and I have the stock cat and muffler in storage. The carbon canister and the vent lines from the Throttle bodies were removed prior to my Dad or I's ownership. The bike has two small scratches in the paint.one on the tip of the nose and one below one of the roundels. I have the adventure nose tip for it - but it is not installed - hence the BMW screws in the mounting holes. The tool kit is complete and original - plus the four feelergaugesto properly adjust the valves. (four makes sure there is no slop between each of the matching valves during adjustment - I am anal about that. I have a new fuel filter for the bike and an oil change kit with oil. The bike could easily be ridden home but with all the extras I would bring a trailer or truck to get it all loaded.
I am probably missing a few notes but email me with questions and I will be glad to help.
I am not interested in trades - cash in person - no credit card deals no checks of any kind.
If you are local to my area you can come and see it - test rides require a $5000 deposit - (no that is not my reserve!)
My other bike is a URal and once you are bitten by the sidecar bug there is no going back.
