Description

This 1987 BMW K100LT appears to be all stock. This bike has been put through the National Powersports Inspection process, hich includes a NH State Inspection, luids check, test drive, nd a cleaning. The results of this process are listed below.

Service Report

We topped off the coolant and brake fluid.

Cosmetic Condition

This bike shows wear consistent with the age and mileage. There are various chips and scuff marks on the front fender and front faring. There is also a crack passenger side of the front faring. The bike has various chips on both side of the front faring and the rear fender has minor scattered chips and scratches. The chrome and aluminium is pitting, addlebags have minor wear, nd the tank has large sections of wear where it meets the seat. Please see pictures for more detail.

Test Drive

We did not test ride the bike due to the safety concerns listed above, hough we did verify that the bike runs and shifts through all the gears. Though these older BMW's do tend to smoke on start-up, his bike has excess smoke due to the oil being overfilled and likely having oil in the air filter.

Inspection Notes

This vehicle does not pass New Hampshire State Inspection due to fork seals leaking, he rear brake reservoir leaking, he rotors being worn, nd the front tire being worn. There is also uneven wear on the rear tire, nd the battery needs to be replaced. The oil is overfilled and smells of gasoline, hich could indicate a stuck carburetor float. A spare key is included.
