BMW R1100R ABS

This has been my beloved bike for almost 10 yrs now. I bought it 2005 with 19000 miles on the clock. my 1st BMW. loved the comfortable upright riding position. the lovely torquey engine. low revving. good handling and the way it looked. I had it serviced yearly at BMW Ocean Plymouth for 5 yrs then got fed up with them and had it Serviced each year since at a local garage where they were more real. It runs lovely. always starts no problem. always goes. always keeps going. It has a sweet responsive engine. Bike still feels and runs the same as when I bought it. I have never thrashed it in a sustained manner. but ride mostly gently with regular full beans at overtaking opportunities. I have used it in all weathers. gone touring through Europe on it 3 times. and have honestly never had it break down on me while riding. Did have an electrical fault back in 2009? which was mis-diagnosed by Ocean BMW and culminated in some burnt out wiring and I had to have a complete new wiring loom fitted. Otherwise nothing else to speak of problemwise. Had a new clutch at 60. 00m. Just got brand new tyre on back. Has been serviced this year. I have always spent out on full services. regular changes of filters/oil etc Comes with BMW panniers. which uses same key as bike ignition. Has an Oxford expandable tank bag. Have Haynes manual for it too. New £130 battery last year. new £350 front discs this year. Tyres are Bridgestone Dual Compound.  It will cruise all day if you want. anywhere between 60-85mph in top gear. Top speed 125mph. 0-60mph 4 secs.   Has adjustable saddle. 3 positions. Heated grips are awesome in winter . two settings warm and hot. Bike is 'data tagged' on lots of it's parts. Has spare key. Does 45mpg normal mixed riding. 50-55mpg on long runs. Like all of them the gearbox can be a bit clunky especially until you get acustomed to it. I love this bike and am only selling it as I have replaced it with a newer R1150R. Though the R1100R still looks pretty good. up close it does show it's age and the fact that it has been riden a lot. I think the photo's make it look newer than is real. I have also pics I can send to anyone seriously interested where I have gone in close to all the 'bad' bits . so you can see properly. as I don't want to mislead anyone. If you are after a really tidy/mint BMW this is not it ! But this is a very sound well looked after bike than runs reliably well. Has tax. MOT. lots of paper history of previous services and MOTs etc. Has been always parked under cover at home. but I certainly rode it more than I cleaned it. . Some pics are of the bike without the screen. Panniers are quite grazed from touring/camping holidays. A lot of good bike for little money I think.
