Offered for sale is my incredibly well-maintained and very original 1995 BMW K1100LT Special Edition. This was the top of the line from BMW Motorrad in 1995 and one of the last of the great 'Flying Bricks'. I bought this from an older gentleman some years ago and have not used it much lately. Recently, had the opportunity to buy another touring bike that I prefer for long trips and as I've not used this bike for any great adventures, think it's time for this exceptional BMW to find another home. Unlike most bikes for sale, his one is also fully serviced and ready to go.

Not only is this K1100 not all used up with 100k+ miles, t's also got a lot of useful add-ons including brighter lighting, uxiliary LED turn and brake lights, ompact driving lights under the fairing, ind wings to keep the heat off ... the list goes on and on....

Late last fall, had the bike up at Touring Sport in Greenville for fork seals and they also replaced all fluids and filters - everything. The Michelin Pilot Activs are a year old and maybe have 1,500 miles on them - as they are dual compounds they are barely broken in. These are a massive improvement over the typical ME33/880 bias ply combination usually found on these bikes.

When I bought the bike, had occasion to have my specialist lube all splines from the input shaft back, o there's no cause for concern on that front, ither. I don't think it matters very much on these bikes vs the K1200LTs but it's been done and should now be good forever and a day.

A Bagster tank bag protects the tank and gives you extra carrying capacity, love having a tank bag.

Mileage of today, hould not go up during the listing. Everything works perfectly.

The left combination switch was replaced with one from a 1996 with the windshield switch integral. The windshield is still working on the center binnacle switch but can be wired to this switch if you desire it. Radio hand controls work fine as does everything else pictured (the ignition is off in this photo, uel gauge works fine). Heated grips are two-stage and work as they should.

Original Clarion/BMW AM/FM Stereo Cassette works great, wo speakers in the fairing and two in the rear case sound as good as they ever did.

Tank cover and bag from the other side.

Original books and pouch all present and accounted for.

Original tool kit all there as well.

Toolkit lives in this underseat compartment to the right. Corbin saddle has some extra insulating material so that it stays cool!

The full leather Corbin has removable backrests for both driver and pillion that are very easily removed.

Both panniers have soft luggage inside.

A very clean bike from all angles!

The rear trunk is carpeted from the factory.

Set up for touring...

Or strip it down in 30 seconds for a day out in the countryside!

The finish is tidy throughout - it's not perfect but it is totally original and has never been down on the ground per prior owner or evidence here.

Bags back on just as quickly as they came off.

As mentioned earlier, he Michelin Pilot Activs are nearly new with tons of tread. Fly in and ride home anywhere without worry about tires, luids - anything.

You can't miss how clean this BMW is inside and out!

payment/shippingWhile I am a classic automobile dealer by trade and you are likely used to seeing cars I have from my inventory, his is my personal motorcycle, am the titled owner and am selling it as a private person. I offer no warranty or guarantee as it is over 20 years old, ut it has been thoroughly serviced and is completely ready to go in all aspects as best as I can determine. I am selling it only as I have replaced it, ut I am always interested in quality trades up or down - I love classic and/or unusual motorcycles in similarly excellent condition. Feel free to offer me something esoteric!

Payment is due in full within seven days unless arranged with me prior to placing your successful bid. Your bid is a contract to purchase, ot to look or for the right of first refusal. Accepted payment methods include cash in person (not via the mail, Bay) or a cleared cashier's cheque or wire transfer in my account prior to title or motorcycle changing hands.

Shipping should take place within fourteen days of auction close unless arranged with me prior to placing your successful bid. If you are not coming for it in person, may be able to help refer you to one of the quality enclosed motorcycle carriers I have used in the past. If you can spare the time and have the inclination (and have paid and received title/have means to legally tag and ride the bike), would love to pick you up at Augusta Bush Field and set you up with your new ride home as this is a very capable, urable and reliable long-haul bike. While it's no problem (once paid for on time) to have the bike sit here until your shipper comes for it, et's not let this drag out too long - after all, ou'll be missing out on great spring riding weather!QUESTIONS?
