BMW R-80/7 Motorcycle Time Capsule 16,400 Kilometers 1978 German Original Paint

You are bidding on a very nice and very original numbers matching 1978 BMW R 80/7 motorcycle This motorcycle was pickled and stored in a garage in North Florida for over 12 years. Believed to have only 16,400 kilometers or a little over 10,000 miles, ot 100% sure but the conditiontells the story. It was purchased by its original owner while in the militaryin Germany and shipped to the USA many years ago. It is all original except for thebattery, ires and the front brake hose and one gas tank bmw sign which does not have the clear outer coating. It is very nice with a few scratches and a small crack in the plastic fairingas pictured. The inside of the gas tank is like new condition with its original red coating. Everything works as it should and the tires are over 10 years old and believed to date back to 2005. Itneeds new mufflers and maybe a front shock absorber rebuild since they seem a little stiffa good cleaning and detailing. This bike was first titled in the USA in April 2013 and I am the second owner. I have owned it for about 3 years and only rode it about 230 kilometers since August 2013. Not cheap but very original and a very nicemotorcycle for the serious collector looking for originality and low low miles. Original factory pistriping. Missing the tool box and tool kit.
