BMW F650GS DAKAR

For sale is my BMW DAKAR 650 GS. which I have owned for 2 years.

The previous owner of the bike owned it for 8 years and used it daily. hence the mileage.   It had been involved in a minor. low speed accident. which left it with a scraped fork leg on the lower LHS. slightly bent bars and a couple of split panels.

When I bought the bike. I repaired the panels and hand painted the chequered pattern back in.   (From a distance. it doesn't show but on closer inspection. you can make it out. )  I purchased and fitted new forks and Renthal handle bars and I've totally rebuilt the rear swing arm and linkage.   It's now plush - fully lubricated and works very well.   I also replaced the radiator and fan and it has a new battery.   It's had new steering head bearings too.

The bike has recently been MOT'd - with no advisories. It has engine bars and I am happy to let the tank bag and the top box go with it if it goes for the right price.

I have decided to sell it as I haven't had the time to ride it and it seems a shame to have it sitting around.   I have done maybe 100 miles max on it since I have owned it.

It would be ideal as a winter commuter. It has not been off road but it is quite capable - the BMW off road school use these as training bikes.

Things that I would do if I were intending to keep it are as follows:New TyresRepair or replace the speedo - as the current one is not working.
