1965 BMW R50/2 Barn find

   I'm selling my 1965 BMW R50/2 that I bought to use the frame for a conversion that I was planning to build but found that it is a matching S/N bike so decided to offer it for sale for someone to restore. I found it sitting outside with one of the cylinders off so the engine is seized. Most of the parts are there. Both pistons. one cylinder and the gas tank are missing as well as the brake light assembly. The handlebars are broken so it may have been in an accident but I do not see any damage to the frame but may have missed something. Please look at photos carefully as what you see in the photos is all that will come with the bike.    I have not taken the transmission apart. I turns freely but does not engage in two of the gears so most likely has a broken shifting fork or something else wrong inside. I just have too many projects and I know I most likely will not get to this one as I've had it about 6 years. I have tried to describe the bike as best I can. I am listing the bike as local pickup as I would have to mostly reinstall all the parts to be able to ship it.    In Vermont motorcycles of this age are not required to have a title so I will only be able to provide a bill of sale with the bike. If you live in a state that requires a title I will be willing to try and work with you to get a title. But any addition cost for title would be in addition to the sale price of the bike.
