Up for sale is a vintage and very rare Steib S-500 Sidecar. I have imported this Sidecar from Germany in the 80?ˆ™s to be used with my 1969 BMW R69S.
The Steib Sidecars have been specialy built and designed to be used with all early BMW?ˆ™s. The S-500 series will fit all BMW Motorcycles from 1950 to 1969. It will fit with no modifications to the following BMW models : R51/2. R51/3. R67. R68. R69. R69S. R50/2. R60/2. It also can be used for later BMW?ˆ™s of the /5. /6 and /7 series with the use of a special subframe.
I have seen some Steib S-500 Sidecars attached to other vintage motorcycles as NORTON. TRIUMPH. URAL. CHANG-JIANG and many more.
This sidecar has been repainted by an artist painter in 2010. It has been primed and coated with 7 layers of high quality paint. It has handmade pinstripping in excellent condition. The paint job costed 1600 CDN $.
Please note that there is a small ding on the fender and some minor scratches. Otherwise is exellent condition.
It will be sold with with an original windshield and a brand new tonneau cover. The tire has been changed two years ago and is in excellent almost new condition.
I will not be responsable of the shipping of this item. but will help you or your shiper at this ned. Shipping of this item is your responsability and at your expense. I will assist your shipper to load it on the truck if required. I can also build a wooden crate on shippers request and specifications. on your expense. Calculate about 150$ to build a crate (extra charge). I used ?« U-Ship ?» in the past and was very satified with the price and quality of service.
