BMW R1100GS Upgrades and mods,Ohlins,Remus,(May Part X For Clasic Jap Bike)

This is my trusty BMW R1100gs (some say the best GS of them all. wouldn't disagree) that I have owned for 13years(Acquired 04/10/01) It has covered 79. 00 miles of which I have done the bulk of. t is an adventure bike and I have had quite a few of them with it. ts been on numerous trips around Spain. ortugal. rance . K. allot of East Europe. oumania being my favourite.

This bike has been used for what it was made for and Its been outstanding even travelling with much newer GSs it has preformed well. nd with the 6 speed retrofitted gearbox will out range them (on 24litters) and will run circles round none ESA GSs with the modified Ohlins setup. know. as one of my other bikes is a 08 GS Adventure full spec.

This engine really started to come into its own around 35. 00 miles as the boxers do. and with the K&N filter BB. chip. ull Remus and the resent full top end service. hat included matching the headers to the ex. ports. decoke. alve seals. nd inlet/ex tracks. iston crowns polished(pics to prove) it will toast any standard GS.

I have set the engine up using my Dynojet Fuel/Air monitor riding it over many miles and making observations and adjustments. When riding this bike one of the things you will notice over the stock GS after the excellent handling and performance is the higher gear ratios. op gear is really an over drive and that gives it excellent fuel economy at high speed (90mph) and none of that buzzing.

I have 36 years of motorcycling experiencing and engineering background. maintain my motorcycles to a high standard so they preform to my demands(I have kept full record of mods and maintenance on this bike) so you can be sure you get what I describe.

As I have said this is an adventure bike and if you know what I am talking about you will know that it will not be mint and will have evidence of its life and I will not try to hide it . ut nothing that will affect its safety and performance. would quite happily jump on it today and travel anywhere on it.

Its on a sorn at the moment but as soon as its sold it will get 12 month MOT. The one thing I will tell you is that I had a cat D claim on this bike over 10 years ago. t had new tank(steel tank£840!!. riginal was plastic). ocker cover. creen. andle bars. here has never been any issue with insurance or anything else over this claim what so ever. 'm just being open and honest please do your own checks as any checks are encourage. nd I will be happy for you to come and view. and inspect.

BAD BITS Some tears to the seat. Scuffs and scratches to crash bars. had guards. nd panniers One pannier has some dents Scuffs to screen Some flaking of paint here and there Age related wear and tear.

In pointing out the bad stuff I would still say the bike looks good and not by any means a nail. eople still have a good look at it where ever I go. CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY IF YOU HAVE LOW OR NEG.
