Bmw r26 1959 classic motorcycle

I'm selling this bike on behalf of my dad. He acquired the bike 5/3/2011. He is selling due to further investment. The bike is in good usable condition. It isn't in concourse condition so you could just get on and ride it. Due to its age it doesn't need tax or MOT. as it's classed as historical vehicle.  In the time dad has had the bike he hasn't rode it on the road as he has more than one bike and this one was an investment. The bike runs and rides lovely although it has started to struggle to tick over. I'm sure a good carb clean would fix this problem as it hasn't done this until now.  I have fixed the tick over issue. turns out all it needed was the battery charged. it now ticks over perfectly. My dad isn't the fettling type he just likes owning nice bikes. so if you study my pictures you will see the bike needs a little bit of love to make it right. The front mudguard brace is incorrectly fitted. the handle bars need an original bolt and the rear shock needs bolting on properly. all minor jobs. The paintwork is good but not perfect. after all this is a very old bike. The motor sounds good but hasn't been touched as far as we know. If you have any questions just ask.
