 For saleMy beloved BMW R1150 RT motorbike. Red metallic. I am only selling the bike as I find it a little too tall for me and I have to be on 'tip toes' when I come to a stop lol. Low milage at just over 25. 00 miles. This is a very capable touring bike with plenty of power and is very comfortable whether you ride solo or have a pillion. I have had the ABS servo professionaly removed by a local bike garage as it malfunctioned and left me with residual braking which was pretty much non existant. I do prefer the bike without the ABS system as there are many minor problems which would cause you to lose braking power. You just have the normal conventional braking power now which is as reliable as it can be. Comes with genuine BMW hard case side panniers and an aftermarket topbox with pillion pad. Seat  is adjustable to 3 height settings. Heated grips which work as they should. Electric adjustable windscreen. It has had a new uprated heavy duty Mottobatt battery at the start of the year. Front and rear brake pads have been replaced a couple of months ago with only about 300 miles done since then. Was fully serviced by myself approx January this year. ( new engine oil. new oil filter. new spark plugs. new air filter )Both front and rear brake pads were replaced approx June this year with the lines flushed and new brake fluid.   It has also had a new throttle cable and a brand new new starter motor approx 2 months ago. Will also be sold with a spare alternator and the original battery. Also comes with aluminium rear brake and gear selector extenders and a chrome locking Wunderlich oil filler cap. Plenty of wear left on the tyres ( Avon Storm ) with no squaring off. I have only done 1. 90 miles since they were new. They were new on 16/07/13. There are some minor scratches on the body work but nothing noticeable. There is also some minor bubbling to the final shaft drive casing. MoT is until 24th September 2015. I have the V5 document in my name. There is tax on the bike but due to new laws. you will have to retax the bike at your expense. Comes with owners booklet and service history with a load of receipts. Also comes with a spare keyThe bike has always been garaged since I had it. Will also come with a battery trickle charger which is wired to the bike for quick charging. You are welcome to view the bike but there will be NO test rides unless I have the full amount. in cash. in my hand and you can show me a valid insurance certificate with you as the main rider ( not a named rider).
